IT'S A CHICKEN UPDATE PEOPLE!
This is a post I've been meaning to write for a while now. So here it goes.
A few months ago, the roaming chicken's eggs hatched. There was a total of 7 I believe, but little by little the number went down. Before my May trip to Virginia, there were 3 left and one of them was limping. When I came back, I was surprised to see we were now the proud shelter-ers of the limping chick. It went from being able to walk, to developing a limp to not being able to walk at all. My mother had placed the chick in our garage and it was living out it's life in a constant leg split. It was sad.
So my mother and I constantly fed it and took it outside. I didn't know if it was going to walk again. At one time it looked like the chick was getting better, but it went back to splitsville. Then one day the chick just came around and started standing. Sure, it was falling over, but it learned to hold it's own weight and now walks around like nothing happened.
Yeah, the chick still lives in the garage. That doesn't surprise you does it? Compared to the other 2 chicks who live outside, this one is smaller. But the chicken comes and goes from the garage to the family room and out the back door whenever it wants. So I guess this is our newest pet. And if you think I'm lying, check out the picture below.
